Birmingham City Schools 10th Graders Identify the Value of Historically Black Colleges and Universities

Tuesday, October 24, at 9:30 a.m., GEAR UP Birmingham will host its first annual Magic City College Experience at Lawson State Community College. Birmingham City Schools’ 10th grade students will compete in a presentation competition to address, “The Relevance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the 21st Century, Presumed Post Racial Society”, through an oral, written and visual presentation.
