Samford’s Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education supports a Summer Reading and Leadership Program (SRALP) for students within the GEAR UP cohort. The SLRP focuses on reading enrichment, remediation, and leadership opportunities to foster GUB students’ academic interests, and to better equip them to attend college.

GUB students may also elect to participate in the Minority Youth Science Academy which is a residential STEM camp that offers students the opportunity to network with other high school students across the U.S., network with local STEM professionals and gain lab-based experiences that will ultimately prepare them for a career in a STEM based field.
